Tiger image printed on melamine

This is a great decorative item but a bit of an enigma.
The image of the tiger has been printed onto what appears to be melamine.
The melamine has been stuck to the back board and then framed in a plain dull gold wooden frame.
The word "Jouve" appears in red in the bottom right hand corner.
There is a label on the rear of the back board that is printed " Paul Jouve Edition Limite Quatre Piece Numero Deux Gallerie David" and 2/4 has been written on the label in pencil.

In terms of age I would guess 1970s-80s.
